Plain Gravy co-owner and artist, Tofer Chin, will be putting on an exhibition at the Commissary Arts Gallery in Venice on Saturday, September, 13th. The show titled, Vivid features a fantastic color palette in which the artist uses to create energetic works against black and white backdrops. The paintings actually begin as something computer generated, with Chin contructing the layout, then meticulously selecting the colors and forms. Once finished, the artist begins to transform the computer generated work into a real painting with the same brilliant aesthetic, with great details that need to be appreciated up front and in person. Vivid will be showing through October 25th.
