“Twins: Houses in Five Parts” located in upstate New York is the latest piece of work to come to fruition from Boston based architects William O’Brien Jr. Featuring a hexagonal floor plan and a twin structures that share geometric facets provides a nice dynamic for the space intended for two single family residences. The functional aspect is highlighted by the agricultural field connecting both properties while the large windows provide ample light and a scenic view. The floor and roof planes make for a notable mention as they turn to create different sections connected by ramps and stairs, very impressive.
