German photographer and former Turner prize winning artist Wolfgang Tillmans has a new exhibition recently opened at the Serpentine Gallery in London.

First coming to fame in the 80s and 90s with his detached, matter of fact documentary style, Tillmans has since refined and widen his purview to become one f the most inspiring and interesting photographers working today.  The Serpentine exhibition features Tillman’s  figurative and abstract work from the last ten years, focusing on his experimentations in photographic techniques and process to reimagine how he sees the world and examine our relationship with modern society.  His playful presentation even extends to how he displays his images in the gallery with photographs placed across tables or seemingly randomly stuck to walls with tape.

The Wolfgang Tillmans exhibition is at the Serpentine Gallery until 19th September 2010.
