It’s been a few weeks since the 53rd Venice Art Beinnale opened, and a number of images have popped up over the last couple of weeks providing coverage of this great event. Held in Venice, Italy, every second year since 1985, this year event is titled “Making Worlds” articulates different themes woven into one whole. Considering collectives, it comprises works by over 90 artists from all over the world, each presenting their own countries exhibiting in pavillions allocated by the coutry or region of origin. Here are just a number of images that we’ve accumulated over the past weeks giving you a great insight into what is on exhibit. These images ofcourse do not fully justify the extent and scale of the whole event, but is certainly enough to get us excited. Take a look at the images below, or visit this site here for some panoramic views on some of the exhibits (highly recommended).

My personal favourite of the pavillions is certainly the Danish and Nordic Pavillion, by Elmgreen and Dragset which depicts the home of a dysfunctional family. Designboom has provided some great images of the pavillion along with a look at the merchanise that is offered on location. Take a look here, or visit Vernissage.tv here for more video coverage of the whole event.
