“Commercial Break” is a video intervention curated by Neville Wakefield for the 54th Venice Biennale. The project will feature the work of 150 artists such as Aaron Young, Ari Marcopoulos, Cyprien Gaillard, Terence Koh, Olympia Scarry, Dan Colen, Maurizio Cattelan and many more. The works are “constantly reforming and randomly sequenced stream of artist’s ideas, suggesting a world in which content moves at the speed of advertising and attention itself is the ultimate product.” The project will be viewed as a huge floating video screen that will navigate the Venice waterways during the opening days of the Biennale and also available as an iPad app.
