London based artist David Spiller’s work mixes traditional pop art iconography (Mikey Mouse, Popeye, Marilyn Monroe, etc.) with lyrics from popular songs by the Beatles and Bob Dylan synthesises the best of Americana into bright and spacey works.

His latest exhibition “Tryin’ to get To Heaven Before They Close the Door” is on at Beaux Arts London until October 3, and to support it he has given an interview to Ponystep where he talks about his influences and the artistic process.
