Formed in London in 1942, the Design Research Unit was responsible for some of the most important design produced in post-war Britain. It was the first consultancy in the country to bring together expertise in architecture, graphics and industrial design. Mapping the history of the group and the currency of their designs, this exhibition identifies key examples of their work and documents. For a  full detailed description of the show, read it here in the Press Release.
Starting at Cubitt in London and touring to Norwich University College of the Arts Gallery prior to arriving at International Project Space, Design Research Unit will subsequently tour to Tate St Ives (5 Feb – 2 May 2011), Liverpool John Moores University (4 Mar – 1 Apr 2011) and Bonington Gallery, Nottingham (15 Apr – 13 May 2011).
