The Porsche 911 has long been regarded as the pinnacle of the German car manufacturer so when the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo was unveiled it makes for welcoming news. Both the 911 Turbo and high-performance Turbo S features a six-cylinder 3.8 liter direct-injection turbocharged engine capable of 520 hp in the 911 Turbo and 560 hp in the Turbo S variation – while the transmission comes in the form of Porsche’s AWD 7-speed dual-clutch PDK, an upgrade over the run-of-the-mill Tiptronic. With a top speed of 198 mph, the Turbo S can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds while a Turbo equipped with the Sport Chrono Package nearly matches its quickness at 3.2 seconds. Aesthetically the body is longer and wider than its predecessor, while 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with four-point daytime running lights and a camera-assisted control for the main beam help define the design.
