Multiple aspects of husband and wife team of Charles and Ray Eames have set a strong precedent in today’s day and age of design. Having paved a way with perhaps their most recognized work which includes their mid-century plywood and fiberglass furniture, along with mind-bending variety of other products from splints for wounded military during World War II, to photography, interiors, multi-media exhibits, graphics, games, films and toys further embracing their diversity. This film narrated by James Franco, puts much of their personal lives into perspective as well as highlighting their significant in the development of modernism in an age which has seen technology take control. Eames: The Architect and the Painter makes for an exciting documentation of the life of two creatives whose work has played a pivotal role in many peoples work and premiering on November 18 at the IFC Center in New York City this makes for an exciting film, you can check out more here.
