Dover Street Market are pleased to announce a new installation between Fred Perry and Sir Peter Blake located in the Basement.
Sir Peter Blake has created some of the most iconic cover art of the last 50 years, most notably for The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Paul Weller’s Stanley Road. He shares Fred Perry’s unique affinity with the British music industry. In the artist’s award winning painting: Self Portrait with Badges he is shown wearing a 1960’s red Fred Perry shirt, layered under a traditional workman’s jacket scattered with badges. This has been recreated within the installation at DSM, along with his iconic collage and bold paint work.
“We are delighted to work with Dover Street Market on this Fred Perry and Peter Blake exclusive installation. It is rare that three iconic brands partner to create a unique project but I think the combination of the art worked space and truly distinctive product results in something special.”
