The Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art launched on the 16th of April.  Comprising of exhibitions from artisits across all mediums, pieces can be viewed in a range of settings; from converted warehouse studios, to major galleries throughout the city.

Artists showing work include:

Turner Prize nominee Jim Lambie. Known for his rock & roll installations,  and album artwork for legendary group Primal Scream.

20th Century German artist Joseph Beuys.  A contemporary of Warhol, who is known as the inspiration behind Damien Hirst’s ‘preservation’ work.

Scottish artist David Shrigley.  Famed for his animal based, humourous and satirical cartoon work which hold an outsider viewpoint on contemporary art.

Events run throughout the city until the 3rd of May and reviews of various exhibitons will be featured on
