Next week, the Aros museum in Aarhus, Denmark, is set to open a retrospective exhibition that looks at the work of American artist Wes Lang. In addition to presenting sixty works (both old and new) — including seven large format canvases painted for the occasion — The Studio will also compile a number of commercial collaborations from the past few years of Lang’s career. These include work he’s done with Harley Davidson Custom and Rolex watches, as well as cover art for the Grateful Dead and, of course, his recent Yeezus tour merch. Finally, offering a pretty good heads up as to where the exhibition takes its title, the museum and the artist have recreated Lang’s LA studio from scratch, including furniture, sketches and personal effects. Wes Lang fans better haul ass to Denmark in time for the show’s opening on March 29. The Studio runs through September 7, 2014.
