Highly acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid has completed another design of mass proportions having been commissioned by the city of London to design a swimming and watersport centre for the 2012 Olympics Games. Applying a strong amount of geometric shapes and an abundance of glass panels, Zaha Hadid truly embodies the essence of flowing water with the design. In total there will be three pools, seating for 17,500 spectators and most impressively a fully retractable roof at the space planned on an orthogonal axis directly perpendicular to the Stratford City Bridge.
