Sotheby’s in New York will be auctioning off Love and Pain by Edvard Munch on November 3rd. Munch’s haunting painting that depicts a man and a woman holding each other, is said to represent love, sex and death . The painting, also known as “Vampire,” has been in the hands of a private collector for about 70 years, but now, this provactive painting will be up for grabs with talk of it going for around $35 million dollars, which would surpass Munch’s record of $30.8 million dollars.
