Los Angeles artist with French blood, Mr. Brainwash, debuted his massive, self produced ‘Icons’ exhibition in New York back in February earlier this year in a two leveled, 15,000 square foot¬†space in the Meatpacking district. Much hype surrounded the show from the recent Banksy documentary ‘Exit Through The Gift Shop’ in which Mr.Brainwash played a significant role in. We payed the space a visit yesterday and found some huge replicas of tabasco sauces, spray cans adorned in Louis Vuitton and Starbucks logos, profiles of global icons from the past 50 years a real life sized rubber-tyre horse (carrying a huge transportation pun) and profiles of musical gods made out of their own records.

The over all theme was a play against politics and popular cultures and the way people are carried as celebrities and icons in our generation today.
