Spanish artist Sixeart opens his first solo in Sao Paulo tonight at ROJO artspace POP. Thirteen brand new works on paper will be presented at Sueñan Las Gallinas Con Ser Humanas, which translates in English to The Hens Dream About Being Human.

Sixeart began painting on the streets of Barcelona in the 1980s and gradually began to show his work in galleries around the world. He became internationally recognized in 2008 when he was invited to paint on the exterior of the Tate Modern alongside fellow artists Os Gemeos, Nunca, Faile, Blu and JR. Back home, his work is exhibited alongside that of Miró, Chillida and Tapies. Sueñan Las Gallinas Con Ser Humanas will remain on view through September 5th.
