Unveiled today is “The Speed of Light” an installation by United Visual Artists which takes over all four floors of the industrial art space, Bargehouse in London

Created to celebrate ten years of broadband internet connection in the UK the technology based art collective have produced an interactive experience where visitors will be invited to immerse themselves in a massive Tron-like network of laser sculptures, built on the idea of speed being light, and light being data.

United Visual Artists are a British-based art, technology and media collective who create permanent architectural installations, live performance pieces and responsive installations for museums, public spaces and private commissions.  They have worked for a range of clients including New York Fashion Week, the Arctic Monkeys, Y-3, Viviene Westwood, Playstation, UNKLE and most famously with Massive Attack on a collection of videos and their stunning stage show.

I can’t wait to check this one out – look out for my pictures on our Facebook page, in the meantime take a look at the making of videos below.

“Speed of light” is at the Bargehouse in London from 9th April until 19th April.
