  • Libertine-Libertine Autumn/Winter 2010

Libertine-Libertine present its Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. The Danish label founded just last year, have created a campaign and lookbook in collaboration with photographer Sacha Maric & the young british artist Tom Gottelier.

First conceptualised in 2009, the goal was to show passion & drive in a playful universe with the side theme; how to make easy tasks hard for your self…it takes a wheel barrow full of wood to roll out a simple red carpet, the unbrella chair to keep dry instead of standing under a roof, a fully ignited jet pack to create the slightest movement & the latter to nowhere speaks for itself.

For all the different contraptions only recycled and/or gathered materials were used. Hundreds of pallets and thousands of screws met their faith in the process of making the wooden patch work for the different inventions.

The project will resurrect in real life during selected events in August 2010. Take a look at the collection and project.

  • 5 Minutes with… Jorg Haas

Beinghunted has had a huge influence on the blog culture we all take for granted today, Jorg Haas founded Beinghunted in 2001, and has since opened Berlin retailer Firmament, and online store The-Glade. It’s always great to catch up with Jorg, someone who always has an intelligent opinion on our culture.

    100203_joerg

    Name: Jörg Haas

    Location: Berlin

What’s 2010 going to be about for you? A big step for us in regards to our store Firmament and some advancements to Beinghunted.

What are the worst trends in menswear today? Pushing too hard and talking too much about stuff that’s very VERY basic… Oxford shirts, chinos, moccasins & L.L. Bean – seriously?

What’s the best thing to come out of 2009 menswear trends? Casualness.

What’s the must have item for any man in 2010? Any person – a pair of proper shoes. You’re on your feet every single day! Invest in good footwear or at least a good insole. It helps a lot!

What’s your favourite thing about where you live? Apart from my friends the fact that Berlin keeps you young; it has an incredible energy which doesn’t seem to fade…

What are you reading? “No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels” by Jay Dobyns and Nils Johnson-Shelton

What’s the next film you’ll watch? Deliverance

Your favourite store in your city? Petite Boutique – that’s where I get all the gifts for my friends’ kids.

    Check out BGHD and The-Glade.

Whats the best thing to come out of Blog Culture? Connecting with like-minded people AND meeting them in the real life.

This is a rare look inside Jeff Koons Studio. The American artist who’s studio type procedure has sparked much debate in recent times, shows press through his space of work, as part of the announcement detailing Koons upcoming project as the 17th Artist to be involved in the legendary BMW Art Car Program. BMW’s iconic Art Car’s have been a feature since 1975 when Alexander Calder first painted Hervé Poulain’s BMW 3.0 CSL. Since then we’ve seen cars created by Warhol, Hockney, Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein amongst a host of legendary names.

We’re excited to see what Koons comes up with.
