Stussy/Leo Zero/Friday Night

Stussy is co-sponsoring (w/ Turntable Lab) a disco party (THE CHASE) in Little Tokyo Friday night with Leo Zero. Leo is a really cool UK DJ/Remixer, known for his insane re-edits. He’s also a graphic designer, who’s worked on a ton album covers, as well as stuff with clothing company PAM.

Things I’m Feeling This Week.

Long time, no blog. I will be trying to contribute more to the blogosphere on a regular basis.

So here are some of the things I have been feeling as of lately.

Gorillaz are now 3 for 3 on albums. I wasn’t really feeling any of the songs I heard, but the album is solid. The songs with Little Dragon, Lou Reed, and Mick Jones are highlights. I even went to the Amoeba and bought a physical copy.

Un Prophete. A French gangster film about life and the hierarchy of gangs in the French prison system. Really good. Probably the best thing I’ve seen all year. I recommend.

I am feeling the fact that Breaking Bad is back for it’s 3rd season. It’s better than Mad Men. There, I said it.

The Dumbass Balloon Boy’s Rap Video

So today a kid in Colorado sent his homemade hot air balloon into the air and made it on to every news channel in America. Everyone thought he was actually in the balloon, that flew 50 miles. It turns out that the kid wasn’t even in the balloon and was hiding in his parent’s garage.
