Aptly entitled the Black Savage, the design combines some elements we have seen from adidas with the lace lock and tongue overlaps with a more futuristic approach to a trekking design. In addition the combination of black and white further accented by red and blue, the balance is strong.

  • Vans OTW Live in Berlin featuring Lupe Fiasco & Yasiin Bey

    This January, we kicked off our 2012 season of the Vans OTW Collection and celebrated the addition of our two new Advocates, grammy-award winning artist Lupe Fiasco and Garage Works Industries/Made By Monsters owner Chris Kong, at the House of Vans Berlin during Germany’s Fashion Week. The night featured artwork exhibitions by Kong as well as fellow Advocates Eric Elms and Dimitri Coste while Lupe Fiasco and music legend Yasiin Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def)shut the night down with live performances for Berlin party goers. The team consists of athletes from various fields with Julian Wilson, P.K. Subban, Sanya Richards-Ross, Lamar Odom, Larry Fitzgerald, Tessa Bonhomme and John Lester completing the line up. Nike will back the team and with a unique and intimate perspective outlining the ethos of the team.
