We Love You So | Spike Jonze WTWTA Blog
May 13th 09, 11:33

Spike Jonze and some of his friends have created a blog called “We Love You So,” that captures art, stories, pictures, and films that were inspirations for his upcoming film, “Where the Wild Things Are” and his daily-life. It’s really great. Information on the site below:
“In October 2009 Spike Jonze’s feature film rendition of Maurice Sendak’s classic story Where the Wild Things Are will hit movie theaters worldwide. The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees. This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that have converged to make this massive project a reality.”
Below is a great little clip that Spike explains the mood that he is trying to capture for WTWTA. See below.
“There were a handful of films that we watched when we were deciding on the tone for WTWTA. I’d like to post them on occasion.
With Ratcatcher it just feels like you are with this little boy. You are in his world. The tone is a little more extreme than what we were doing but I definitely wanted to get to that feeling of being with him, in his world.”

Rick Owens Video Interview | Hint Blog
April 10th 09, 16:21
“Over 10 minutes of Rick! Can you handle it? Here’s what you’ll learn: he takes a nap every day, thinks L.A. designers should get off their asses, is a terrible collaborator, used to feel like a sell-out, doesn’t like press offices, will open a Tokyo store in September and can’t deal with young people with cute haircuts…”

Last Satuday Brett Westfall exhibited some of his artwork and select prints at Anastasia Boutique in Laguna Beach entitled “Rethought Memories.” In addition, they built out the room using 80 2X4’s and created an installation to hang some of his shirts from the Unholy Matrimony “Prints” collection.
