I can’t remember which author once said, “No one can be more English than a Englishman who lives away from England.” I often tell people “ I’m 100% Chinese other than my English passport”. Despite this I always have my loose leaf Earl Grey tea, I like my sandwiches without crusts, adore the Mighty Boosh, won’t let go of The Streets even though Mike Skinner hasn’t come out with a new album for 4 years, I’m proud of my British education and dive deep into BBC documentaries.

  • ” “No Reason” by Jellymon & Friends Opening @ Source Shanghai

After my trip to US, I’ve been hiding and working on the “No Reason” show, this show is JELLYMON team’s little baby. The concept is really simple : with no sponsors, no corporate tie-ins, no one graffiti on soft drink cans or sneakers, just a selection of work from us and our friends around the world, with prints on sale for as cheap as we could possibly sell them and still break-even. We don’t need a reason to enjoy art and design, we don’t need a sponsor to party, and most of all you don’t need to spend a lot of money you can still own at least a piece of art print! More photos after the jump..

  • “Tea Lab”@ MOCA Shanghai by Jellymon

We created a Tea Lab for the Museum of Contempory Art in Shanghai. We designed the space to be interactive so that while you are drinking your tea you can fill in the gaps in our drawings using chalk on the black chalk boards, the chalk boards get wiped clean everyday but leave a faint memory of the people who visited. We love drinking tea and drawing so we are happy to present our tea room to you, next time you are in Shanghai stop by at MOCA and have a drink and draw on our walls!
