The Society, Toki’s & Pacman
April 30th 09, 1:23
Designed some heritage tee’s last night while Burt aka KingKong encouraged me on. We came up with a Philippines version of the Illest Tee and a Katipunan tee based on an original flag the Philippines flew in the late 1800’s. Mariano Llanera’s Crew ran this flag as they defended the Philippines against the Spanish Invasion. Get them online.
Llanera’s Skull Flag flew in the late 1800’s

Illest Philippines Tee.

Also wore these very comfortable TZ Toki Lux’s today. I’ll probably wear them tomorrow.

And get in line for these. 100 available to the public. 200 total. Only available at Fatlace, NTSF, NTLV and UNDFTD.

It’s a PACMAN World
April 23rd 09, 10:21
So Im sure most of you boxing fans are pretty excited about the Hatton X Pacqiaou fight on the 2nd of May. I’ve been a huge boxing fan all my life and this one’s definitely going to be one talked about for a while. Fatlace has something brewing with Manny’s camp and I’m excited to see the execution/exhibition which will be going up this Friday at the store at 1630 Post Street in San Francisco’s Japantown.

Fragment & the Hepp
April 16th 09, 0:01
As many of you know, I’m very interested in camera’s and go thru point and shoots quite rapidly. I’m almost feeling like the Ricoh GR2 I picked up a few months ago is ready to be replaced but that’s another story. This week at work has been quite the experience, we relaunched the site today and tons of meetings. With meetings comes friends from across the globe. One particular friend is AK who dropped off this Fragment cleaning kit I’ve been thinking about since seeing it on Hiroshi’s blog. Thanks Hiroshi. It will be put to good use.
Comes with a quick clip and is smooth as silk.

Tucks away nicely.

Had dinner with Heppler today. One thing is for sure, he’s got a ton of ideas. Talk soon Rob.

Christina joined us for a minute.

I Heart Drifting.
February 27th 09, 22:36
The sad part about having a fulltime gig is that you’re limited to doing the things you love cause work is the cousin of death. Here’s a video of our crew drifting filmed by Phillip who also films for my day job. I had two of my drift cars at this event. The all white S14 and the camoflauge S13. Hopefully I’ll be able to be out there more.

Skateistan & Television
February 3rd 09, 0:08
Decades of war have left Afghan youth with very limited options for sports and recreation. An Australian man is trying to change that by starting a skateboarding school for children.
I’ve been watching alot of these types of moving documentaries as of late. I feel that day to day television feeds your brain with such negativity that you almost conform to what is fed to you. A good example is the state of the economy. The news pushes and pushes, the markets react to the bad news, and people turn into hermits, staying in their caves until someone says it’s ok to come out.
I haven’t had a television for a year and a half living up in Portland. I watched all the movies offered at the Nike Lab and rented movies. Just this past holiday, I picked up an LCD (a peer pressure thing) and basic cable to see what I’ve been missing. I tell you, not alot. Basic cable with an HD tuner picks up alot. I spend alot of time on the HD discovery channel. That stuffs good brain food.

Mt. Hood
February 2nd 09, 0:46
I started snowboarding at the end of 1988 and took a break from boarding in 2004. We probably went 3-4 times since then. Yesterday, I was invited to goto Mt. Hood to officially start the “comeback” to boarding…
Spring like conditions minus the wind.
“Sittin’ on top of the World” by Brandy playing in my head.

Chillin up on the mountain.

My Whip.

I picked up a pair of Zoom Force 1’s at Exit in Portland. Good service and super friendly dudes. The shoes felt great all day.

The awesome cabin we’re staying at. Carpet everywhere, even the bathrooms.

Today, I Surf
January 30th 09, 2:39
I spent most of tonight browsing the internet. I checked out blogs, I checked out forums, I watched videos, and learned about the state of the world that we live in today. Once a week, I spend time just looking around and browsing and seeing what everyone is up to. Here are three links that moved me in one way or another.
Facebook. I have to say getting stuck on facebook is the worst. If I had all these “tools” in college, I’d be one smart dude. The internet is so powerful. We used to get our message across by putting stickers up around and tagging brown fences with white OSH paint with fat caps on the freeway. Times have surely changed.
Jeff’s post about Twitter. He’s absolutely correct about how people should use twitter. Linking on twitter defeats the purpose. It’s a way of communicating your thoughts to people that are interested in you. I’m following you now Jeff.
The Brazillian Barack Obama’s. All 6 of them. I absolutely loved this story when I first heard of it. I didnt follow it day to day but was in awe of how the phenomenon of being the first black president has affected the world. I think you all should read this cause it’s changed peoples lives. None of the Six Obama’s won in Brazil but it got people thinking. I’m sure the next election will be a good one.

Coraline Dunks
January 23rd 09, 21:51
The flight today was horrible and good at the same time. Sitting on the tarmac for an hour, I was able to catch up on the sleep since I found out about the “Watch Now” feature on Netflix has taken over my nights. Not a huge TV fan but I seem to start movies at around midnight during the weekdays after work and surfing.
To my surprise I found a box sitting outside the house. I opened it.

How cool is this box?

Created to celebrate Laika’s first full-length animated film, Coraline. They gravitated towards their natural environment and I snapped some shots. The details are amazing. Only 100 of these dunks were given away with props from the movie. As you can see, the left shoe is some kind of a cat with a tail.

Details, details, details…

While the right shoe is a mouse, also with a tail. Ridiculous, right?

Cute little mouse.

Only 100 pairs came with buttons. The Glow in the Dark soles are ridiculous.

Info that came with the box. You can get a version of this dunk for FREE!!!! Just be one of the first people to watch the movie and type in the special code at the end of the movie credits to receive yours. Crazy right? Bring your iPhone with you or whatever you use to surf the web via mobile to the movie.

Kobe Beef is from Kobe, Japan.
January 17th 09, 0:58
Only a few places in the US has REAL Kobe Beef. As you see in the latest TASTE series presented by TED, happiness does have a pricetag. It’s a long 14 minute video worth every second taking you through the outrageous price tags of today’s luxuries. Having flown to many places last year and spending thousands of dollars on hotel rooms (the most last year was 980/night and Im not the type that needs these expensive rooms..), I really only look forward to a comfortable pillow and an awesome TOTO Toilet like the one Mr. Wallace talks about. This one hit home, as Albert thought it would. Watch on…

A-Trak x Serato x Lunar Racer
January 15th 09, 0:08
It’s good to be back.. I’ll most likely focus my time on my daily interests rather than my daily grind..
As seen on A-Trak’s Site, Serato in collaboration with Nike is coming out with this ULTRA-LIMITED Picture Control 12″ in celebration of A-Trak’s Running Man Record Release. The great thing about this is you can Serato on one side and mix the Running Man Record on the other. If you don’t know about the Running Man record, pick it up on iTunes. It’s a progressive track which compliments a complete running workout using the Nike+ System.
Today I wore.. Lunar Racer Tier Zero / 5.5 Ounces!
