Terry Richardson for Purple Fashion 12
September 8th 09, 0:13
The latest issue of Purple Magazine is now out. Featuring models Eniko Mihalik, Freja Beha, Magdalena Frackowiak and Abbey Lee Kershaw photographed by Terry Richardson. Signature almost in the way this shoot captures the vibe of both Terry Richardson and Olivier Zahm’s Purple Magazine. NSFW is a funny phrase, I’m not sure how far that phrase runs around here anyway, but if your office is more traditional than ours, this is one of those times where NSFW applies. (more…)

Carin Wester launches Online Store
September 7th 09, 21:32

Carin Wester is an integral part of the newest group of European designers that are taking the fashion industry by storm. Not unsimilar to what was seen all those years ago from a group of Belgian designers.
Her clothes have previously been hard to come by, but now with the launch of the Carin Wester webshop, there’s now a direct place to purchase her fully stocked men’s and women’s fall collections.
We are big fans of her work here at Slamxhype so the online store is good news for all. Check it out here.

Holly Fulton Fall 2009 Collection
August 18th 09, 21:33
While everyone tries to find several ways to make classic clothing with a modern twist, there are a handful of designers looking to change the meaning of classic, Holly Fulton is one of them. Jewel tones, sequences, and robot dresses only begin to describe a portion of Fulton’s genius for her Fall collection. Holly Fulton’s “References for the new collection included Eduardo Paolozzi, robotic stuff and what I’m calling art deco on crack – looking at the motifs and geometry within this with a heightened sense of colour and line.”

Armsrock | Secret Places
August 18th 09, 21:30
Armsrock recently opened a dual show with Chris Stain and is continuing to give us pictures of amazing work. “Secret Places” shows Armsrock taking advantage of an abandoned ship yard without giving us any hints of where this might be. Images include fish, plants, and a woman who remains as mysterious as the location of the pieces. The work makes great use out of the natural rust and decay of the area.

Greenvanilla | Underwater
August 17th 09, 13:17
English Photographer Greenvanilla presents us with Underwater, a beautifully violent experiment with color. The talent’s pale skin and dark hair surround by the blue, murky water makes the deep red blood pouring out of the girl’s mouth seem exponentially more violent than it already is. If there is beauty in suffering then Greenvanilla captured it with Underwater.

KZO Fall/Winter 2009 Collection
August 14th 09, 22:13
Taking inspiration from the John Muir Wood Trails, the High Sierra, hiking trails and the west coast outdoors KZO’s fall/winter collection “Hallowed Ground” is impressive. Wools, cottons, slim fit plaids, utility coats, and work wear jeans complete the collection. While on the surface the clothes are beautiful it is the small, unseen details, like hidden seems and pockets, that truly make the difference.

Topman Fall 2009 “Privileged” Collection
August 14th 09, 8:20
As one of a three part collection Privileged comes to represent the relaxed, yet refined. The term ‘timeless’ has been beat to death recently; however, there hasn’t been a more worthy candidate than Topman’s Privileged line. Velvet and plaids were used to give a nostalgia feel, but don’t get it confused, these are far from Grandpa Sweaters. Each piece screams vibrant and youth with its slim cuts and feel.
