Sunrise Zanzibar … Man off to catch fish for his pot and as it turned out … my pot also … this guy was 62 years old and was the head fisherman for the part of the island we were staying at … he swam out to the reef and spent 4 hours swimming and treading water every day with a knife the size of … well … picture the scene in crocodile dundee … “thats not a knife, this is a knife” … dude was health personified and a testament to living in a sunny climate and doing the simple things in life just to live, to be, to know.

Hello out there

So here is my first post on slamxhype (thanks Adam, hope i dont let y’all down sir)

I reckon that the best way to start this blogging journey on the slamxhype express is to give people an insight into lil ole me … so in my eyes the perfect way is to show you a small part of my collection of fairisle and as many would call them ‘grandad-esque’ jumpers (note jumpers and not sweaters). Its frikkin chilly here at the moment so the ‘lightweights have made way for the heavy weights’ for the bout about to ensue, I aint getting sucker punched by no minus temps folks!! theres gonna be snow and theres gonna be cold and then there will be me … a beacon of warmth in the frozen wastes … with a bit of style to boot Hope you like – Fats as another lover of eccentricity dandyism in knitwear and fellow SXH blogger heres 2 U!!
