Uniqlo 2008 Autumn/Winter Collection

Uniqlo has gained a very strong following on a global scale in recent years, largely known for their extensive range of basic pieces at affordable prices. They have recently uploaded their Fall/Winter 2008 Collection on their website, which places an emphasis on a wide variety of essential items for the up and coming winter season. Along with the release of the collection is also a nice Uniqlo Experience Explorer, which provides a innovative way of browsing through induvidual items from the new and previous collection through a flash generated photo mosaic type navigation interface. Coming Soon By Yohji Yamamoto

It was announced late last year that the legendary Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto would introduce a more affordable line aimed at a younger market named “Coming Soon”. The confusingly named label launched in the Autumn / Winter 2008-09 season this year, licensed to Italian manufacturer SINV SpA, ‘Coming Soon’ is designed to propel the Japanese designer into the big-volume leagues. Although there is no Yohji Yamamoto branding in the collections, the signature Yohji look is evident, featuring baggy pants, dropped shoulders and loose bottoms. Definitely a label to keep an eye out for in the future.
