The ShootBooth Photo Service
August 14th 08, 15:29
ShootBooth is an interesting concept from New York, which is a business providing a temporary photo booth service for those that are addicted to taking pictures of themselves.
“Designed to resemble a gigantic, antiquated camera, the eight-foot long encasement actually houses a professional-quality digital SLR camera, complete with a built-in lighting setup. Photo subjects can enter the camera “body” (or pop their head in from one of the side openings) and press the button to activate a countdown to the picture. At the end of the night, the resulting shots can be printed or burned to CD.

The backdrop to the ShootBooth is completely customizable. Depending on the theme of your party, the booth can be outfitted accordingly. And to ensure that you strike the optimum pose, the camera takes the picture from behind a one-way mirror that acts as a photo preview.”
Perhaps this is the western world’s answer to the Japanese Sticker photo booth, which i am a huge fan of (not really). A great concept nonetheless.
Check out some of the images from the ShootBooth below. or check out their website here.

Rick Owens is perhaps one of the most innovative designers in contemporary fashion, bringing to mainstream runway fashion a sort of androgynous, avant-garde, dark and mysterious appeal. Since the L.A. native’s move to Paris in 2003, his collection has over the years gained somewhat of a cult following, creating his own unique silhouette that is often monochromatic and multi-layered. Wood Wood Spring/Summer 2009 Collection
August 14th 08, 5:05

It continues to get better from the Danish trio Karl-Oskar, Brian Piv Jensen and Magnus Carstensen who are Wood Wood of course. Having just created a whirlwind of expectation with there showing at the Copenhagen Fashion week with there upcoming 2009 spring/summer collection. Characteristic of where Wood Wood stand between streetwear and fashion you can only be impressed with there evolving aesthetic, something I touched on earlier when previewing there Fall collection. Next summer we can look forward to more simple construction with cuts, colors, materials and patterns standing out because they are so minimal.
Thanks to Wearethemarket for the info.
