"Imaginary Friends" at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco

The “Imaginary Friends” show opened over the weekend at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. It was definitely a busy weekend for Gallery 1988, as their other location in Los Angeles played host to Craola’s “It Wanders West” show, but more on that later. The show at their S.F. location featured work from Scott Campbell, Andrew Bell, Cherri Wood, Israel Sanchez, Ken Garduno, and Yoskay Yamamoto. "The Drawing Room" Curated by Audrey Kawasaki

“The Drawing Room” group show curated by Audrey Kawasaki opened this past Friday in Los Angeles and judging by the images inside of this post — it was nothing short of amazing. A lot of fantastic talents participated in this show, so there was an abundance of great work displayed. Another really cool thing, was the front window display put together by Kawasaki. The display in essence, is a recreation of her workspace, which was to be a workspace in general, but it ended up mirroring her own. Check the images inside courtesy of Notcot.com.

Cinema Tuesdays at The Montalbán Presents: Christmas on Mars

One of my favorite groups, The Flaming Lips, will be presenting their movie, Christmas on Mars, which took about seven years to make. All that time and effort has culminated into this movie which directed by frontman Wayne Coyne and it will star all the members of the band. In addition to the band starring, there are also appearances by Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live and Adam Goldberg. The movie is a science fiction film and it is the directorial debut by Coyne. Check inside for more information about the upcoming screening.
