Got invited by the good people of San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival to attend Deerhunter’s opening night set at Mezzanine. First off, Microcastle, Deerhunter’s 2008 album, was one of my favorites of the year, because I like a bit of classic pop mixed with feedback and delay. I recommend a listen. Actually, pick up Cryptograms while at it. That is great album as well…. anyway…. I’m into it, and so are most kids with black rim glasses. I’m not original, but I don’t care.

The best part, besides sitting in the back and still being close to the action, is that Wolfgang’s Vault filmed the set, so you can watch too. If you listen closely, you can hear me yell, “Whoo!” Thank you to Jordan and Kip.
