FIXY BUSINESS

…..so fixed wheel cycling has reached a massive audience, and we are no strangers to the debates on trend, poseurism, and the like….this stuff’s covered by ‘the haters’ adequately. What I wonder about is not the first wave (the fixed wheel bike), nor the second wave(fixed wheel bike with deep ‘v’s to match the seat and grips), nor the third wave (fixed, with matching ‘foxy fixy’ aesthetic & WITH front brake), BUT the new wave of fixie culture: the FREEWHEEL FIXY…….WTF??? This may have gone too far: front brake, or no brake, freewheels done up ‘foxy’. Are you guys stupid? This to me isn’t exciting as it could be, unfortunately, it’s not about recklessness, excitement and the freedom to live/die(??!!), it’s purely about ………(fashion!)…… Guys, (and girls) get a groupset!
Or at least some toestraps!!!!! (and they dont have to match!!!!!)
