Its hard to say who made the first French dipped sandwich.. Cole’s claims to be the original, but a court ruling gave the rights to Philippe’s.
But with the recent renovation of Cole’s and a menu revamp from chef Neal Fraser (just consulting), we’ll see if this old Food War heats up in downtown. I’m hoping for some Westside Story: Jets/Sharks action myself.
