Katrina Liu a music promoter from Shanghai brought PUTS from the west coast to China. I missed their show at Shelter (Sorry Gary 
, I do prefer the unique intimacy that a show at Shelter facilitates!), but managed to catch the one in Beijing… They are a great live act with a lot of interactions, a lot of love and sweat. Other than being occasionally grinded/ground (? hahaha how do you write that!) by some American students on the front row, having my photo taken with their mobile phone cameras and at one point having to go up the stage and drink coke out of Katrina’s cans (it was matter of life and dead at that point), but I pretty much survived.
