I took the night off and decided to be social, I went to Dave MacDowell’s opening last night at Thinkspace.
“The Sins of Atticus Finch”
It was great meeting Dave, we have emailed, facebooked, and have had phone conversations, we had a chance to meet each other and talk in person. He’s a good dude.
His work is awesome and to me it looks like he must paint lightening speed to get all that stuff into one piece. The paintings look fresh and they look like it was all done in one sitting.
There’s all kinds of pop culture references in them, some obvious and some discreet.
