Designed by AECOM in association with Zaha Hadid Architects, the new 40,000-seat Al Wakrah Stadium in Qatar is the proposed venue for the the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Inspired by the dhow boat used by generations of local fishermen and pearl divers, the stadium is an intersection of Qatar’s rich past with it’s progressive vision for the future. While the stadium is certainly a marvelous achievement, take a second to acknowledge those working on the project in less than impressive standards.

(The stadium kind of looks like a vagina, no?)
