Blu Mural in Morocco – Updated
Here’s an updated look at Italian street artist Blu’s most recent work in Morocco. Following the images we brought you a couple of days ago, the piece has evolved to become satirically reminiscent of the European Union’s flag, the blue in this case represented by immigrants (most likely sub-saharan given the geographical location) while the yellow stars of the EU are replaced by wire barbs. Morrocco and surrounding North African areas are a launch pad for illegal immigrants planning to enter Spain and Greater Europe, and this re-rendering of the EU flag is a particularly poignant reminder of what is a disturbing political issue.
