Legendary Scottish production duo Boards of Canada have debuted the first track and video from their highly anticipated forthcoming album, Tomorrow’s Harvest. Over the past few weeks, the notoriously enigmatic group (made up of brothers Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin) have embarked on an intricate and mysterious promotional campaign that started with strange codes turning up in locations around the world, gradually deciphered by fans. The last clue in the trail led to a crossroads in Shibuya, Tokyo, where the video was projected against a wall yesterday for its global debut. Suffice to say, if you’re a fan of Boards of Canada, the new track and its equally atmospheric video will not disappoint. You can pre-order Tomorrow’s Harvest on iTunes now.
