Steve Lazarides is back this week with a new show. This week the Lazarides’s Gallery will be featuring the first US solo exhibition of Jonathan Yeo. The self-taught artist’s show will mark the third show in the temporary Beverly Hills space and Yeo’s most ambitious exhibition to date, full of titillating and tantalizing surprises.

Yeo’s “Porn in the USA” showcases his skillfully oil-painted portraits of famous subjects ranging from Tiger Woods to Sarah Palin to Paris Hilton. He uses the art of collage to blend together hardcore pornographic images to create a likeness of his subjects. The visual trickery of these collages allows Yeo to deceive the viewer. At first glance, the explicit tone is most likely disregarded; only on closer inspection is the passion of the flesh revealed.

This exhibition features some of Yeo’s newest and most provocative works to date.
