Nike UGOKIDASE TOKYO
Nike’s event space “UGOKIDASE STATION” located in Harajuku will be open for a limited period from July 28(Sat) thru August 11 (Sat) to offer new Nike+ experiences via a series of games referred to as ‘missions’ all which involve the brand’s latest digital innovation in new and unique ways.
For years Nike has provided ground breaking innovation allowing the athlete to push themselves farther and to perform better. In 2006, Nike first debuted Nike+ Running, their entrance into digital innovation. The experiences offered at UGOKIDASE STATION represent the more evolved and robust state of digital innovation; now introducing Nike+ Basketball* and Nike+ Training* and Nike+ FUELBAND*, none of which are offered in Japan as yet (Japan launch is planned in 2013) as a special opportunity to experience them early.
The ‘missions’ include one which employs Nike+ Running and a unique treadmill used by pro-sprinters for their training, Others utilize Nike+ Basketball and Nike+ Training, challenging the participants to test their vertical jump heights, agility, motor skills, etc.
All of these games can be enjoyed while trying out Nike’s latest footwear including Nike Lunarglide+ 4, Nike Flyknit, Nike Lunar TR1, and Nike Women’s Lunar Hyper Workout XT+. Top scorers and their results from the games will be displayed ona leader board in UGOKIDASE STATION as well as on Nike’s website, NIKE.JP.
Participants will receive an original UGOKIDASE TOKYO tin badge each time they complete a game, and an original tee at Nike Harajuku for completion of 4 games out of 5. This tee will also be serve as the access ticket to the Grand Finale on August 12 (Sun). In addition, “Run This Town” mission kicked off on July 26, offering virtual event experience using Nike+ Running to compete running for their country and/or prefecture.
