The end of July means one thing and one thing only in Japan…Fuji Rock Festival.
Nestled into the foothills of the beautiful ski resort town of Naeba, undoubtedly the most amazing festival location in the world, Fuji Rock has played host to some of the world’s biggest live acts and DJs since it’s beginnings in 1997.
Last years Brit-heavy line-up, featuring the likes of The Stone Roses, Radiohead, Noel Gallagher and The Specials; was always going to be difficult to top… but organizers SMASH seem to have pulled it off yet again with this year’s effort.
The two main stages, ‘Green’ and ‘White’, offer up an eclectic, genre-crossing pool of headliners including Nine Inch Nails, Skrillex, Bjork, Jurassic 5, The Cure and The xx.
With such a wide variety of acts, there’s almost certainly something for everyone. But the headliners are not where the real fun is to be had. With so many smaller stages and areas, it’s always a good idea to take a walk around and see what you stumble upon… you won’t be disappointed!
