Remember when that guy made a $15,000 gold-plated skateboard? That was nothing. Now, The House of Solid Gold has gone out and made not one, but 13, gold-plated “extreme mountain bikes”, valued at $1 million each. Let’s break it down. A 24K gold-plated frame features an emblem “encrusted with over 600 Black Diamonds (6.0 carats in total) and 500 Golden Sapphires (4.5 carats in total)”. In addition to this, a customized saddle made from “the finest chocolate brown alligator”, and custom water bottle also covered in gold plating and “accented with chocolate brown stingray”, combine to make this bike the most expensive in the world. Our question is, how do they expect to sell one of these things let alone thirteen? The House of Solid Gold‘s answer: “How many times in one’s lifetime will you see extreme meet extreme?” Touché.

If you happen to have a cool mil’ sitting around to purchase this bike, it’s available here.
