Photographer Jesse Frohman is set to exhibit a series of portraits of Kurt Cobain at Opening Ceremony Tokyo next month. The photographs, taken in Frohman’s elegant and intimate style, are some of the last of the ex-Nirvana frontman before his death in 1994. Shot during the band’s In Utero tour in ’93, it was a time of deep depression for Kurt, seen reflected in the photographs where he is often self-medicated and dazed. KURT will undoubtedly be a fascinating exhibition and one certainly not to miss if you are in Tokyo.

Opens March 03.
