In the tradition of great minds thinking alike, Brooklyn-based brewery KelSo recently teamed up with Jameson Irish Whiskey for a collaboration that we’re really hyped on. When Jameson reached out to KelSo brewmaster Kelly Taylor with the idea of aging his IPA in their whiskey barrels, the beginnings of a great idea started to arise. By incorporating this angle in the aging process, the barrels lend the beer their characteristically woody and delicately sweet vanilla notes, while the beer takes on a darker, richer texture. Dilligent drinkers will pick up on the Jameson-infused flavor and sophistication of palette that comes with it, while others will just enjoy getting straight-up drunk on something this delicious.
