The latest update in the ongoing fight to keep the Southbank Center – the UK’s most iconic skate spot — alive might actually bear good news to the skate community. After the delivery of a 20,000 person petition, London mayor Boris Johnson expressed that he supports the Southbank Center’s plans for expansion, but only if those plans are not at the cost of the undercroft — the area used for skating.
