Brian Cross, also known as B+, has been visually documenting music for almost 20 years. Though primarily known for his photography in the hip hop genre (Eazy-E, J.Dilla, Madlib, Damian Marley, David Axelrod), his artistic eye sees no bounds. For the past decade, he’s been working on recording music around the world, primarily in Central and South America. Here he discusses the importance of the music of Columbia, “the missing link.”
