Premiering earlier this evening on MTV the full length short film for Kanye West’s “Runaway” may be one of the more daunting task the man has ever taken on. Aimed at continuing to push the boundaries of what we consider to be a music video the short film, directed by Kanye himself, follows in the same footsteps of his “Power” video as it is am moving piece of art. Presented as a reflection of Kanye’s entire life up to this point, “Runaway” is a visually stunning piece, and serves as a perfect lead in to the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. For all of his brash claims and misguided judgments he produces gems like this that begin to dive into what really is happening in the man’s head.
