Out of an early retirement, and rather pregnant, M.I.A. (Maya Arulpragasam) is riding on the recent success of “Paper Planes” (featured in Pineapple Express), announcing a new EP, How Many Votes Fix Mix on US election day. The EP will feature two new “re-energized, re-recognized” tracks, “Shells” and “Far Far,” and a remix of “Boyz” featuring Jay-Z.

With M.I.A’s label, N.E.E.T. (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) with first signing Baltimore native Rye Rye, the Sri Lanka born icon adds to a long list of credentials including philanthropist and designer.

How Many Votes Fix Mix will be available on iTunes on October 28 and everywhere else on November 4.
