2009 will go down as one memorable year for me and for alot of people in our culture, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons though. The loss of Shawn Mortensen and Dash Snow has become even harder to stomach with the loss today of Adam Goldstein AKA DJ AM. Reportedly Adam was found dead in his New York City apartment as a result of a Drug Overdose. DJ AM was one of the most in demand DJ’s worldover and a strong supporter of street culture. It was through his love of sneakers I first met Goldstein years ago. Another sad loss, a life cut short, and another sign that drug use in our culture needs to be looked at and evaluated.

R.I.P DJ AM and let the cruel summer pass.
