Rally car driver Ken Block hasn’t needed the money since 2004. That was the year Quicksilver bought the footwear imprint he co-founded, DC Shoes, for $87 Million. But instead of doing boring rich guy stuff like yoga on a private beach, the adrenaline junkie is still getting his fix, video taping himself driving his 650 hp Ford Fiesta — complete with huge, gold-plated handbrake — violently fast through a drift track strewn with deadly obstacles like spiked wrecking balls, Lamborghinis, and Segway-riding cops.
The result (above) is the sixth installment of his Gymkhana video series, which pulls double-duty as a promo for the new Need For Speed Rivals video game, and even if all the info in the top paragraph didn’t get you excited, just know that it’s 6 minutes of a self-made millionaire from Long Beach almost killing himself and causing thousands of dollars of damage.
Need For Speed Rivals arrives on November 19th for PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-order here.
