San Francisco’s Hamburger Eyes have been capturing the grainy, underground side of day to day life since they photocopied their first photo zine in 2002. Taking cues from the traditional, anonymously contemplative photo journalism of Life and National Geographic, Hamburger Eyes capture in their work the amusingly bland, the stupidly surreal, and the disturbingly ordinary.

On the heels of their first book, Hamburger Eyes: Inside Burgerworld, the crew are about to debut their first NY exhibition at The Powerhouse Arena. The show features an additional 30 new works added to the lineup that went on show in San Francisco last month as part of the book release. Works are by regular hamburger Eyes contributors, including Ted Pushinsky, Ryan Furtado, Patrick Griffin, Vic Blue, David Uzzardi, Brian David Stevens, Mark Murrmann, Jai Tanju, Michael Jang, Matt Weber, Uri Korn, and Bill Daniel.

Thanks to The Powerhouse for pictures and Worship Worthy for details.
