Tag Art Gallery wakes up at the first of February in its new home in the historic Arcade in downtown Nashville and with no better way to begin this new era with Josh Keyes work going up in this great exhibition and following the 2007 sell out of his work before the show opened to the public this promises to be an impressive showcase of the artist work. Oakland California’s Josh Keyes is best known for his realistic paintings that often combine animals from the wild with urban environments often evoking commentary on social and political issues. Keyes has a MFA in painting and printmaking from Yale and has recently found himself on the fast-track to who’s who in the art world. Having sold out his works in galleries around the country, Keyes has upcoming shows booked through 2010 in some of the hippest galleries going including Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York.
TAG Art Gallery is now located in the historic Arcade in downtown Nashville Tennessee. Gallery Hours are 10 to 5 on Tuesday through Saturday and by appointment at 615-429-7708.
